This is why more states are enacting work rules for those seeking assistance. Cradle to the grave welfare is dying. In Ohio, you must work at least 20 hours a week to collect assistance. If you don't, you are denied benefits. We aren't talking about the physically disabled. We are talking about those who whine and cry they can't get a job when they aren't even looking. We are talking about people who want a totally free ride while everyone else works.

Come deadline day, 120,000 had jobs requiring the to work a minimum of 20 hours a week or get no benefits.
12,000 chose to not work and were cut off that day. It appears, despite the advocates pleas, that 120,000 people who previously claimed they could not work suddenly found jobs. It's laughable. People will milk out a free ride as long as they can. The state of Ohio proved that not everyone claiming to need assistance really needed it. They can work.
